Discussion took place in groups, allowing us to talk about our own journey around the given environment. We decided on the pages and concepts each person should use for the finished book about London. When showing my sketchbook, people were interested in the rough sketches of the architecture and the concept of calculating ‘free time’ of pedestrians.
It was decided for my page in the final book, I would choose a sketch and layer each photocopy of it with a personalised cigarette butt of different lengths.
Each cigarette was personal to the 115 books that were made. Red pen was added to the tip to give the appearance of it being lit and to add colour to an otherwise b&w page.
